The S&P 500 was up 0.1% in midday trading to 2,730.62.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at 24,727.91

The Nasdaq climbed 0.2% to 7,411.91.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 0.8% to 2.86%.

The price of gold was 0.4% lower to $1,322.

TECHNOLOGY

CalAmp Corp. (Nasdaq: CAMP) in Irvine was down 7% to $23.05 and an $821 million market cap. Shares in the maker of fleet management software and other products were downgraded to hold from buy at Craig-Hallum, which lowered its price target to $24 from $26.

SERVICES Emerald Expositions Events Inc. (NYSE: EEX) in San Juan Capistrano was down 9% to $19.20 and a $1.4 billion market cap. Shares in the trade show producer have fallen 16% over the last two sessions since it said affiliates of majority owner Onex Partners Manager LP would cut its stake from 74% to 63% through a secondary offering of 7 million shares.

ShiftPixy Inc. (Nasdaq: PIXY) in Irvine was down 8.6% to $3.90 and a $112 million market cap. Shares in the app-based temp worker provider closed up 66% yesterday after it said it will use blockchain as a digital ledger for all human capital transactions. Separately ShiftPixy said it will open an office in Austin, Texas.
